Share IT Act – Public Assets & Notice

This repository contains some public components supporting CDC’s implementation of H.R. 9566 – SHARE IT Act for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). CDC is an operating division (OpDiv) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

📢 Metadata Browser Update

The Share IT Metadata Browser has been moved to a private repository in the CDCEnt GitHub Enterprise Cloud organization, accessible only to CDC staff. This relocation was completed at the request of CDC Centers, Institutes, and Offices (C/I/Os).

If you are a CDC employee or contractor with CDCEnt access, use the button below:

> **Note:** > Access to CDCEnt **cannot** be granted to the general public, external researchers, or non-HHS organizations. ---

🔐 Requesting Access (CDC Staff Only)

Only CDC staff (federal employees or on-site contractors with CDC credentials) may request CDCEnt access.

If you are CDC staff and need access:

  1. Open the
    CDCEnt Onboarding Request Form.
  2. In the last dropdown, choose:
    “GitHub Enterprise Cloud Sign Up”
  3. Complete the form and click Submit.

After provisioning, you will be able to access the Metadata Browser via the private CDCEnt repository.
