What the repo looked like before this pass
The original package was tiny and readable end-to-end, which made the biggest issues obvious:
- identity drift between current
GareBear99branding and olderTheRustySpoon/ LuciferAI references - README claims that implied a fuller package than the repo actually contained
- LICENSE badge and README references existed without a LICENSE file in the package
- repo presentation mixed live portfolio hub language with older ecosystem language in a way that reduced trust
- the current repo was really a static routing page, but the copy sometimes sounded like a deeper robotics runtime existed here
What recruiters or visitors would likely think
Positive:
- clear visual identity
- strong thematic cohesion
- obvious interest in robotics, fabrication, and simulation
Negative:
- unclear boundary between real shipped surface and future vision
- unclear why older handles and links are still present
- mismatch between README claims and actual files lowers trust
- repo feels more like a branded landing page than a fully packaged public project
Main corrective direction
The strongest fix was not adding complexity. It was making the repo more honest, more legible, and more consistent.
Current honest framing
This repo is now positioned as:
- a robotics research hub
- a static portfolio / routing surface
- a node in the broader Neo-VECTR ecosystem
That framing matches the current file set and improves recruiter trust.
