Prerequisites

  • Python 3.11 or higher
  • pip (Python package installer)
  • git (for development installation)

Installation Methods

Method 1: Install from PyPI (When Available)

Configuration

After installation, you need to configure MCP Tools Py for your preferred client.

Claude Desktop Configuration

  1. Locate your Claude Desktop configuration file:

    • Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json
    • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
    • Linux: ~/.config/claude/claude_desktop_config.json
  2. Add the MCP Tools Py configuration:

Troubleshooting Installation

Command Not Found

If mcp-tools-py command is not found after installation:

  1. Check installation location:

  2. Check if scripts were installed:

Uninstallation

To remove MCP Tools Py:
