jev update

Check npm for a newer jevctl release and install it globally.

Already up to date prints a short confirmation and exits 0; so does a completed install. A registry lookup failure (no network, npm missing) is exit 1.

Uses the npm binary on PATH, so it follows whatever registry, proxy, or .npmrc settings you already have configured.

Automatic update warning

Every other command checks for a newer release too, at most once a day (cached under the config directory), and prints a one-line warning to stderr when one is out:

jev: update available (0.2.2 -> 0.3.0). Run `jev update` to install.

It never blocks or changes the exit code. Suppress it with --quiet or JEV_NO_UPDATE_CHECK=1; it's already skipped for jev update, jev version, and jev help.
