Mounts of Mayhem
Building upon the additions of 1.21.11: Mythic Metals now has Spears, Horse Armor and Nautilus Armor for all its materials. For testing purposes they will be craftable for now, but obtaining them is subject to change. They have various stats, and will likely need a lot of adjustments to be both interesting and fun, so feel free to give any feedback you have.
A HUGE thank you to thyreo for the all the amazing Spear textures, and a small thanks to DH for the Legendary Banglum Spear.
Major internal changes
For addon developers there have been major changes in the codebase.
The main change is that everything related to the mod is now bundled in a Material, which holds all blocks, tools, and armor associated with it.
If you need to iterate through them, say to add your own custom items, then I recommend check out the MaterialRegistrationCallback or the maps in MaterialHelper.
Upcoming config update
The new internals does mean that for modpack developers it will be easier for me to add support for configuration values for various aspects of the mod. Feel free to let me know ahead of time what options you need, and I will look into adding those first. I can promise ahead of time that things like damage values, durability, and stats is what I am currently planning.
Ability system removal
As announced earlier, this system is now fully removed. It has been replaced by different data components and tags instead. Specifically, the affected abilities between 1.21.4 and this version are the following:
- Blast Padding -> Explosion Knockback Resistance (vanilla attribute)
- Blast Protection -> new attribute
mythicmetals:explosion_resistance- Acts similar to burn time reduction: If set to zero you take no blast damage.
- Fire Protection -> new tag
mythicmetals:fire_resistant_armor- Reduces fire damage by 8% per piece in tag when worn
- Projectile Protection -> new attribute
mythicmetals:projectile_resistance- Acts similar to burn time reduction: If set to zero you take no projectile damage.
- Water Protection (Origins compat) has been removed
- This might be re-added if Origins ever updates past 1.21.x
- Red Aegis Sword fire aspect -> new component
mythicmetals:fire_aspect- Simple integer component, which ignites an entity hit for its amount in ticks
Changes
There have been many different changes with this port, mostly to accommodate the changes in vanilla Minecraft (which have been massive!). Some are more experimental, and might be subject to change.
Mining Level changes
Mining levels now follow the following graph: wood/gold -> stone -> copper -> iron -> diamond -> netherite -> unobtainium alloy. The last mining level is unused, but is handled correctly to allow for modpack/addon developers to fully utilize its branch.
In preparation for some future changes, the following ores now require at least a pickaxe made out of Copper instead of Iron to be mined:
- Aquarium
- Banglum
- Manganese
- Platinum
- Silver
Aegis Sword and Smithing Template
The Aegis Smithing Template is no longer aquired from master-level Clerics. You instead craft it using Glowstone Dust, Emerald Blocks, Deepslate, and an Emerald Crystal.
The Emerald Crystal is a new rare drop from mining Emerald Ores, with roughly the same drop chances as other rare materials. Likewise, it also scales with the Luck stat, so get mining with your favorite fishing set... it's probably Midas Gold, right?.
The Red Aegis Sword and White Aegis Sword have also been made cheaper. They now only need an ingot of their respective materials to be crafted, as originally mentioned in the Smithing Template
Combustion Rework
Combustion has been reworked again. The damage/amplifier is unchanged, but the duration of the effect now scales based on these factors:
- Level of heat on target before ignition (applied from branding)
- Whether the attacker is using any enchantments in the
minecraft:smelts_loottag, E.G. fire aspect- +1 multiplier per enchantment in this tag
- Whether the attacker is using a weapon with Natural Fire Aspect (the
mythicmetals:fire_aspectdata component)- The Blade of the Aegis this, and therefore gives a +1 multiplier to this. This is independent of its increased ignition time.
The internal combustion cooldown has been replaced with a status effect instead of a hidden timer. This allows you to see the cooldown in your inventory, giving you an estimate of how long you were ignited for.
The initial duration of combustion and its ignition time has been changed to match, so they should be higher than before. This might still feel a bit vague in practice due to various enchantments and effects affecting burn time.

0.25.0
Initial port to 1.21.4. This version will likely not be supported for long, as I plan on skipping straight to 1.21.10/11.
New Textures
Thanks thyreo for more new textures!
This batch is relatively small, although we are working on having Spear textures ready for Mounts of Mayhem. The following items have new sprites:
- Mythril Armor Items
- Bronze Armor Items
- Adamantite Armor Model (new!)
- Palladium Armor Model (new!)
- Sponge Nuke Core
The Adamantite and Palladium models were made by Icedmi, who is the author of the Reincarnation resource pack. Be sure to check it out!
New Data Components
As a part of this port more abilities have been replaced by attributes or made into Data Components. This includes the following:
- Natural Feather Falling -> Vanilla attribute (
minecraft:safe_fall_distance)- This change is meant as a small rework since reducing fall damage with Protection and Feather Falling makes this ability moot anyway.
- If you receive any fall damage outside of falling (E.G. commands or modded shenanigans), you will now technically take more damage
- Natural Smite -> new attribute (
mythicmetals:undead_bonus_damage)- Works exactly the same as before: simply adding more damage onto mobs who are undead
- Still stacks with the Smite enchantment!
- Bonus Knockback -> Vanilla attribute (
minecraft:attack_knockback) - Blast Mining -> new data component (
mythicmetals:blast_mining)- When applied to any item stack, will dig a 33X tunnel, where X is the
depthparameter - Existing Legendary Banglum tools are unchanged
- When applied to any item stack, will dig a 33X tunnel, where X is the
- Branding -> new data component (
mythicmetals:branding)- When applied to any item stack it will apply the Heat status effect when hitting an entity
- As before, the level increases by 1 50% of the time on hit.
- Always increases on a critical hit
- Caps out at the level the data component, determined by the
max_heatparameter
Other Changes
- Carmot Staff and associated components is now fully removed
- Natural Fire Aspect is now hardcoded onto the Sword of the Aegis
- No longer uses an Ability
- Removed Dusts and their config option
- These are becoming increasingly annoying to maintain, while not serving any function in the base mod.
- Might be moved to an addon or something similar if they are actually useful to someone
- Renamed and moved a bunch of recipes
- This is a result of a lot of the recipes needing to be updated for 1.21.4
- Most recipes are now generated by code.
- There might be edge cases or errors with this, so please report any recipe problems should you find any!
- Renamed
star_platinumtostar_platinum_ingotfor consistency.- The language in-game is the same, although this should help + break recipes and tools which relied on this fact
- Includes a registry alias, so any items you have should be converted
- Renamed the "Prometheum Bouquet" to "Prometheum Rose" to match its new texture
- Includes a registry alias, so any loose bouquets you have should be converted
- Adjusted stats of the Adamantite Forge Controller
- Done to comply with Alloy Forgery 3's updates
- Now uses the
mythicmetals:rare_plus_tier, which still applies tier 3 recipes
- Removed recipe blacklist for blasting Mythic Metals gear in the Alloy Forge
- Should be incredibly minor, although you can now smelt two pieces of equipment into 2-3 nuggets each

Individual Ore Tags
This version adds individual tags for controlling which biomes every Mythic Metals ores spawn in. This allows you to fully configure the features to your liking.
Here is an example on how the tags work together:
#c:in_overworld <- #mythicmetals:mythic_ore_biomes <- #mythicmetals:platinum_ore_biomes <= mythicmetals:platinum_ore
In order to move the ore, simply override its target tag.
In this case, you would want to add a tag with replace: true for platinum ore biomes.
For example:
#my_modpack:biomes_in_space <- #mythicmetals:platinum_ore_biomes <= mythicmetals:platinum_ore
Note that you do not need to specifically nest a tag. A list of biomes is fine.
Changes
- Nether ores by default will now spawn in any biomes within the
#c:is_netherbiome tag- This affects Nether Banglum, Palladium, Stormyx, and Midas Gold
- End ores by default will now spawn in any biomes within the
#c:is_endbiome tag- This affects End Stone Starrite
- Aquarium Ores now spawn in the
#mythicmetals:aquarium_ore_biomestag- This includes

Internal repackaging
All code within the mod has been moved from nourl.mythicmetals to the new com.mythicmetals packages.
This means any addon directly referencing code breaks, and now needs an update.
Please be patient while any affected mods work on these changes.
Carmot Staff Removed
The Carmot Staff is being removed with the next major version of Mythic Metals (not this one). Most code related to it has been removed, and the item has been made uncraftable.
The Block inside your staff should automatically be inserted into your inventory (or dropped on the ground if it is full). The most interesting abilities have been made into new items, see the sections below. The Star Platinum ability is planning a return. The Beacon, Bronze, Copper, Iron and Sponge abilities are not planned to return at this time.
Stormyx Shield rework
The Stormyx Shield now inherits the old Carmot Staff ability of reflecting projectiles. The implementation for it is similar to Breezes, but keeps some of the extra behavior.
- Stormyx Shield will now reflect any projectile
- Shulker Bullets will still break when they hit you (unchanged)
- Removed the area of effect - it will only reflect projectiles that hit you
- Durability will now gradually tick down on the shield while guarding
- When you stop blocking the shield will go on a longer cooldown
- The shield break duration now lasts as long as regular shields
- The shield durability damage now matches regular shields
- Updated the rendering to only surround the affected player
Midas Gold Bartering adjustments
- Added Potions of Greater Luck to the Midas Gold Bartering Loot Table
- These are simply Luck 2 Potions, which give you a higher chance at better loot and rare drops
- These replace the Fire Resistance potions in the table
- Reworked/improved the loot table
- Slightly increased the average amount of Smooth Stone
- Slightly increased the average amount of Ender Pearls
- Replaced the Awkward Potions with 1-10 Glass Blocks
- Removed Fire Charges, Soul Sand, and Spectral Arrows
- This is very significant, as it means all other drops appear more frequently
- Reduced the chance to get String from the Loot Table
Carmot Bell
This item replicates the Carmot Staff healing ability with a Carmot Block
- Heals 5 hearts (10 health), or 10% of your max health (whichever is higher)
- Damages undead for 5 hearts (10 health), or deals 10% of their current health as damage (whichever is higher)

0.20.0
The changelog for this one is huge. Most of the changes are related to technical stuff, but the first things are gameplay-related.
The reason this update took so long is mainly due to a large downtick in freetime, and making sure Datafixers were available, meaning you can take your old worlds up to 1.21 without anything major changing.
Remember to make a backup!
While datafixing is implemented, it is still experimental. You might lose item data when updating. Please do report these issues on GitHub if you find them.
Mythril Drill Rework
This is an experimental rework trying to make the Mythril Drill more intuitive to use. Feel free to let me know what you think of these changes (preferrably via the Discord server).
- Drill no longer needs to be activated
- Fuel is no longer consumed over time
- One fuel is consumed per block broken
- Increased max fuel capacity: 1000 -> 4000
- Fuel per Morkite: 10 -> 20
- Increased invisible durability reduction: 30% -> 60% chance of ignoring damage
- yes this has always been a thing while the drill is active
The upgrades also got the following changes:
- Golden Luck Bonus: 1 -> 2 Luck
- Golden Luck Gold Drop chance: 2.5% -> 3.33%
- Aqua Affinity Air: 24 -> 60 ticks air restored when mining an ore
- Regrowth: Will slowly increase fuel (NEW)
BUG - The Golden Luck Upgrade might be lost on updating from 1.20.x worlds!
Balancing changes
- Palladium Armor now grants Burning Time reduction (25% per piece)
- Combustion now increases Burn Time by 50% when applied
- Note that this doesn't increase burn times, but effectively it removes fire protection from you
- The Spiked Helmet ability (on the Legendary Banglum Helmet) was removed
- Engrained Prometheum was changed to the following:
- Overgrown threshold is now 1200 durability
- Damage Bonus: +1 while overgrown (+2 if double the threshold)
- Armor Bonus: +1 while overgrown (+2 if double the threshold)
- Toughness Bonuses: +1 while overgrown (+2 if double the threshold), and +1 if the armor cannot be unequipped (I.E. Curse of Binding)
- Increased Tidesinger Water vision: 25% -> 30%
- Sweeping using a Royal Midas Gold Sword now correctly drops Raw Midas Gold
- Slightly decreased the effect Fortune has on Banglum Ores: 8% -> 7% (per level)
Updated tags
As always with newer versions of Minecraft the tags had to be updated. These are now data-driven, meaning they are generated with code. This should make them faster to update, but also means there might be some holes where some items are missing from tags where they should be present. Make sure to report any issues you find with these, should you feel like anything is missing or broken.
Some specific tag changes:
- Added the
mythicmetals:mineable/mythril_drilltag, which controls what the Mythril Drill can effectively mine- By default this includes
mineable/shovelandmineable/pickaxe, but now other mods/datapacks can change this
- By default this includes
- Added tags for all various Mythic Metals equipment (tools and armor)
- Added tags for raw materials, storage blocks, specific tool types, ores, nuggets, and armor
- Added/used tags for enchantments which affect Banglum Ores:
- The
mythicmetals:increases_mining_speedwill increase the chance of Banglum Ores exploding by 5% per level. Includes Efficiency by default. - The
c:increase_block_dropswill increase the chance of Banglum Ores exploding by 7% per level. Includes Fortune by default. - The
mythicmetals:silk_touch_likewill heavily reduce the chance of Banglum Ores exploding, by 45% per instance. Includes Silk Touch by default.
- The
- ... and a lot more, which you can view on GitHub yourself
Ability changes
The Ability system is deprecated, and is slowly being decoupled into different places.
The plan is to make them tag-driven where applicable, or otherwise use interfaces, attributes, or Item Components.
Item Components are a new feature in Minecraft which work similarily to NBT (which are now placed under minecraft:custom_data).
Here is a list of the new Item Components:
- The Carmot Staff Component (
mythicmetals:carmot_staff_block) holds the block inside the Carmot Staff, and handles the tooltips for it - The other Carmot Staff functionality, which were using NBT tags, were migrated to components. The changes are shown in this list:
Locked->mythicmetals:lockedIs_Used->mythicmetals:is_usedEncore->mythicmetals:encore
- The Mythril Drill now uses two components: the Upgrade Component (
mythicmetals:upgrades) and the Drill Component (mythicmetals:drill)- The Upgrade Component is a list of items on an item. Comes with some helper methods which can be used to implement upgrade functionality. Supports sizing.
- The Drill Component essentially only holds fuel and handles tooltips related to it.
- The Tidesinger Component (
mythicmetals:tidesinger) holds a string on what pattern the Tidesinger armor is using. Also appends a tooltip for the specific type - The Midas Gold Sword now uses the Gold Folded Component (
mythicmetals:gold_folded), which handles its dynamic tooltip and the Midas Touch Ability - The Prometheum Component (
mythicmetals:prometheum) tracks durability repaired, and generally helps with automatically repairing the items.- This component is applied to items in a tag (see below!)
The following abilities were migrated to Attributes:
- The Aqua Affinity ability now uses the
minecraft:player.submerged_mining_speedattribute. - Carmot Shield now uses the
mythicmetals:carmot_shieldattribute. - The Depth Strider ability is now using the
minecraft:generic.water_movement_efficiencyattribute. - The Respiration and Better Respiration Abilities are now using the
minecraft:generic.oxygen_bonusattribute.
The following abilites were migrated to tags:
- Bonus Fortune applies to all items inside the
mythicmetals:abilities/bonus_fortunetag. - Bonus Looting applies to all items inside the
mythicmetals:abilities/bonus_lootingtag. - The Prometheum Component is attached to any items inside the
mythicmetals:abilities/auto_repairtag. - Midas Touch, which drops Raw Midas Gold on kill on entity is now decided by the
mythicmetals:abilities/midas_touchtag.
The Riptide ability was migrated to the RiptideTool interface.

- Increased Star Platinums damage bonus to 1 per piece (from 0.5)
- Celestium armor now inherits this damage bonus, meaning all Celestium Armor now has this damage bonus
- Changed the Celestium Sword texture to be more like a scimitar
Celestium Elytra
A much more durable elytra. This is an armored elytra, meaning it gives you both armor and toughness. Not only does it have a movement speed bonus, it also speeds up your flying speed when using Firework Rockets by 20%
Smithing Templates
To comform with the Smithing Table rework you can now find and craft various Smithing Templates. These are found across the world, or crafted from certain materials. The following Smithing Templates were added:
- Unobtainium Alloy Upgrade
- Found in Ancient Cities
- Allows you to craft Metallurgium and Celestium Gear from Netherite and Diamond respectively
- Can be duplicated with Diamonds and Deepslate

NOTE - For 1.19.4 these templates don't exist, unless you enable the appropriate Experimental Features.
Midas Gold Sword Rework
The Midas Gold Sword received a massive rework following this update. As specified above you now need to craft smithing templates in order to fold it, which makes maxing it slightly more expensive.
There is a rare chance when bartering with Piglins you can find an Enchanted Midas Gold Block. This can be crafted into a Royal Midas Gold Sword Upgrade, which lets you upgrade a maxed Gilded Midas Gold Sword one more time... Some even say it comes with a special ability which should help with obtaining more gold.
Are you ready to become the ultimate sword-smith?
Mythril Drill Upgrades
The old drill crafting required a Smithing Table to upgrade the drill. You can now right-click Drill Upgrade Items onto it instead.
Items that can be inserted into the Mythril Drill have tooltip indicating that they can be put into the drill (NEW!).
The Golden Luck ability now requires an Enchanted Midas Gold Block. To compensate for this, it now gives you +2 luck (from +1).
Added the Prometheum Bouquet and the Carmot Stone, which replace the storage blocks when being used to upgrade the Mythril Drill (NEW!).
The Carmot Stone can be obtained rarely when mining Carmot ores (NEW!, 4% base chance of dropping, scales with Luck).
Prometheum Rework
This update includes a small rework to Prometheum, rewarding the player if they give it some attention. To clarify, these are the current (and new) abilities of Prometheum:
- Regrowth
- Prometheum will automatically repair itself
- For armor, it must be equipped for this to take effect
- For tools, it must be in your main hand to repair itself
- The tools can also be in your off-hand (NEW!)
- Overgrown (NEW!)
- Regrowth will track how much durability has been restored
- Once you hit a threshold of around 2000 durability regained, the armor will gain additional stats
- The regrowth self-repair effect will also increase on tools
- Engrained (NEW!)
- If you apply Curse of Binding on the Armor, it will gain additional stats, as well as increase the self-repair effect more.
Balancing changes
- Default axe damage has been increased (+2 over sword), meaning over half the axes in the mod got a buff!
- Celestium changes, see the Celestium Rework section
- Prometheum changes, see the Prometheum Rework section
- Osmium base damage: 2 -> 2.5
- Osmium mining level: 2 -> 3 (can now mine obsidian)
- Osmium durability: 584 -> 664
- Osmium knockback resistance: 10% per piece -> 25% per piece

- Durasteel durability: 800 -> 820

- Revealed the Palladium advancements and made them more clear
- Overhauled advancements heavily, adding all Smithing Templates and the Mythril Drill

- Added a new loot condition:
mythicmetals:random_chance_with_luck, which applies Luck directly to the chance modifier when breaking blocks/ores- While luck does have an effect on the older loot tables, it did not have a sufficient impact on drops. This patch should remedy this
- Added subtitles and sound events
- All armor now have custom equip sound events
- The Carmot Staff abilities, Mythril Drill, and Banglum Nuke now has sound events
- All of the above have subtitle support, accurately describing what sound is being played
- This means over time custom sounds for items can be added over time
- Resource pack creators can already change the sounds, if they modify the
sounds.json

- This is in an attempt to make them more compatible with mods that modify attributes
- Made the Star Platinum and Runite arrows dispensable
- Added a new Unique Block for the Carmot Staff - Note Block

- Fixed an issue where world-gen would not work correctly (#146, only relevant to 1.19.3)
0.17.0
A bit late perhaps, but happy new year! I hope this massive content update is worth the wait.
If you are adding integration/making an addon which uses Mythic Metals, please update your compatibility.
This is due to major internal refactors and re-packages.
If you know any authors, please ask them to verify their integration still works.
Mythril Drill
- A new use for Mythril. Create a mining tool specialized for speed, letting you drill through the world like a hot metal baseball bat through snow.
- You can craft it in a Smithing Table by using a Durasteel Engine with a Mythril Pickaxe.
- Requires Morkite to be fueled. Right click Morkite onto it to fuel (like a bundle).
- The Drill has two upgrade slots, which can be used for the following upgrades:
- Prometheum - Regain Durability while holding the drill
- Aquarium Pearl - Acts as Aqua Affinity, and restores air when mining ores
- Stormyx Shell - Reduces the chance of Banglum Ores detonating by 102% - Warning, driller warranty is void for any case where the chance of a Banglum Ore explosion exceeds 99%
- Midas Gold - Randomly drop raw gold when mining ores
- Carmot - Same as Carmot tools - increased Fortune when mining
Runite Arrows
- Use Runite to craft more expensive, but more accurate arrows.
- These can be tipped like normal arrows, although modded potions will likely not have language keys for them.
Quadrillum Nuke Core
- Use Raw Quadrillum to improve the shrapnel of the Banglum Nuke.
- This sacrifices its radius for double the damage.
Carmot Staff Rework
- The Carmot Staff can now accept a large variety of blocks.
- When you use a block that has a unique ability, it will be reflected in its tooltip.
- For mapmakers, if you wish to create a Carmot Staff which is locked to a specific block, you can give yourself a staff with the following NBT:
/give @s mythicmetals:carmot_staff{StoredBlock:"blockid:here", Locked:1b} - The Locked boolean will prevent anyone from modifying the staff.
- Added a Sponge Block Staff Ability, which clears water around you in a 12 block radius.
- Added stats for using the Hallowed Block.
- Removed the Runite Block ability, since the freeze didn't find the impact it needed.
Palladium Rework
- This rework introduces two new effects for Palladium Weapons: Heat, and Combustion.
- Apply Heat to your targets by combo-ing them with a Palladium tool, and once they are hot enough light them on fire to make them combust!
- This heavily increases the fire damage and duration of their burn. Use this to your advantage in places with low water (and use the Carmot Staff from above to remove it!).
- While combusting you are also vulnerable, meaning Fire Resistance will not make you fully immune against burning.
- The armor also received a buff, and will now provide two different attributes:
- Lava Swim Speed
- Vision in Lava.
- These do exactly as advertised: They reduce the fog from being in lava, and increases you speed while in lava, letting you move around much faster.
Other Changes
- Lightened the outline of the Orichalcum Sword slightly.
- Overhauled some helmet textures into crowns (Thanks Azzy!).
- Increased Star Platinum arrow damage (18 -> 24).
- Compat - Added Wormhole Special and Dark Morkite to Spectrum's Titration Barrel (Infused Beverage).
- Increased the default size of a Banglum Nuke (24 -> 32 blocks radius).
- Increased the vein sizes of Stormyx and End Starrite slightly.
- Increased the bottom spawn range of Aquarium (41 -> 31).
- Changed Durasteel Axe texture (thanks Painted!).
- Added a configurable HUD element which displays your Carmot Shield health.
- Removed Water Protection tooltip if Origins is not installed.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where the Banglum Nuke would not light with a dispenser on specific sides.
- Fix the Aegis Sword models in item frames and on ground.
- Fix Orichalcum Hammer not applying enchants correctly.
- Fix Origins compat not enabling itself.
- Fixed an oversight related to the Carmot Staff placing Bedrock, and a missing tooltip.

Config changes
Configuration has changed internally.
Mythic Metals now uses owo-config, which means you no longer need Cloth as a dependency.
Variant Configs were also removed. Since the new config file is JSON5, the new config should not break,
although your old configuration values are not transferred.
Please check your configuration file in order to prevent errors when updating!
Stormyx Re-work
Stormyx has recieved a re-work, focusing a lot more on magic protection.
Stormyx Ore now drops a Stormyx Shell, which has a single use right now.
It can be crafted into a Stormyx Shield. A much more durable shield which protects you slightly against Magic damage.
You can also now put a Stormyx Block in the Carmot Staff.
This produces a forcefield, which protects you and whoever is close by reflecting any projectiles.
Added Star Platinum Arrows
These arrows act as stronger arrows of harming, dealing a minimum of 18 damage to players, and 18 healing damage towards undead.
Carmot Nuke Core
You can now make a Nuke Core out of Carmot.
Instead of destroying all the blocks in its radius, it will exclude any ores in the blast radius.
Thanks to BasiqueEvangelist for this feature!
Orichalcum Hammer
A simple but strong mining tool, which allows you to mine blocks in a 3x3x2 area.
Balancing Changes
Platinum is now slightly less common in caves (discard chance up).
Slightly increased the spawn chance of Calcite Kyber.
Legendary Banglum Armor is now repaired with ingots instead of chunks.
Copper Armor is now more conductible. Please be careful in thunderstorms.
Reduced the mining level required for most storage blocks.

Added some weight to rolls to improve Midas Gold Bartering.
Unobtainium can now be found in Ancient City Chests.

- Steel
- Kyber
- Midas Gold
- Mythril
- Hallowed
- Osmium

- Hallowed (1739 -> 1984)
- Mythril (1445 -> 1564)
Increased the mining speed of the following tools:
- Celestium (16.9 -> 20.0)
- Mythril (14.0 -> 14.3)
- Stormyx (8.0 -> 8.5)
Other Changes
Allow the Banglum Nuke to be ignited using a flint and steel inside a dispenser.
Added Smooth Stone to the Midas Gold Bartering loot table.
Improved the textures of Runite armor.
Prometheum no longer repairs itself on client, preventing innacurate durability bars.
Fixed an edge-case with the Hallowed Cape rendering.
Overhauled the Mythic Metals Advancement tree.
Made particles from Palladium Gear less obtrusive.
Added a warning to logs whenever Terralith is installed.
- Terralith uses a lot of stone variants in the overworld, like Calcite, which causes ores to spawn in unexpected places.
- Keep this in mind whenever you are using both, as I have yet to create a custom ore configuration just for Terralith.

Includes all the changes of 0.14.2, with one significant addition.
The Banglum Nuke
You can now mix Banglum and Morkite blocks into a powerful bomb.
All you need is a 3x3x3 cube made out of them, with a Banglum Nuke Core in the middle.
An example on how to build this will be made available on the wiki following this release.
Other changes

You no longer need Piglib to experience the features of Midas Gold, which are:
- Piglins being distracted by Midas Gold Items
- Piglins not attacking you while wearing Midas Gold Armor
- Bartering with Piglins using Midas Gold
There is also a custom loot table for bartering with Piglins. You will find it slightly more useful than the normal one.
There is also a new sword: The Midas Gold Sword!
This weapon makes Midas Gold some more milage, by giving you a nice sword that you can upgrade
as long as you have enough gold.
It might even change depending on how much you give it...
Balancing changes

This update finally brings Mythic Metals to 1.19 (with an update for 1.18 too!).
It also features an initial Carmot re-work, some new ore variants + features, and the next balance pass.
Carmot Re-work
Carmot is now a material that builds off Kyber gear, similar to how you upgrade Banglum.
The armor itself now grants you extra max health (up to 5 hearts with the full set).
It also features the Carmot Shield ability, which is a passively regenerating shield.
It can block up to 5 incoming damage per piece (blocks up to 20 damage with the full set).
The tools also contain some abilities.
The sword has an extra level of looting, while the rest have an extra level of fortune.
Carmot Staff
You can now create a mystical staff out of Carmot, allowing you to channel the inner power of different metal blocks.
Currently there are only a few blocks that react with it, which is specified in this list:
- Iron - Fling opponents up, makes the staff stronger
- Gold - Grant yourself luck for two minutes
- Copper - Summon lightning on yourself
- Bronze - Smite whoever you strike with lightning
- Netherite - Powerful melee weapon, makes the staff much stronger
- Metallurgium - Highest single hit damage in the entire mod
Balance Changes
Buffed Morkite's fuel value from 1000 to 1200 ticks (from smelting 5 to 6 items per fuel).
Made the Blast Mining ability of Legendary Banglum respect Silk Touch.
Fixed some inconsistent recipes with Metallurgium.

Increased the durability of Hallowed, and Mythril tools.
Increased the mining speed of Durasteel slightly.
Reduced the durability of Prometheum and Bronze tools.
Increased the chance to find Banglum Chunks and Aquarium Pearls if you have luck.
Prometheum will no longer cancel block breaking when regaining durability.
Star Platinum no longer requires Carmot to be crafted.
Runite can now be found in Deepslate.
Tightened the spawn range of Starrite, making it more common.
The Aegis Swords now have different recipes:
- The Sword of The Aegis is crafted from an Adamantite Sword with a Palladium block in a smithing table
- The Blade of The Aegis is crafted from a Hallowed Sword with a Hallowed block in a smithing table

Morkite has been added
This new ore drops a new crystal-like metal, which works as fuel.
Two pieces of morkite is just as effective as a single piece of coal.
Morkite can be found around the stone/deepslate border underground.
Banglum has recieved a major re-work:
- Regular Banglum armor now only has Blast Padding on all pieces (Blast Protection 1)
- Nether Banglum ores have been added.
- Banglum Ores are now volatile. The ores have a chance to explode that scales with the levels of efficiency and fortune on your pickaxe.
- Silk Touch drastically reduces this explosion chance.
- Banglum Ores have a higher chance to explode when placed in The Nether.
- You can use Banglum Chunks in order to upgrade Banglum to Legendary Banglum, with various natural enchants
- The set has Spiked Helm (Thorns which always activates), Blast Protection 6, Projectile Protection 5, and Feather Falling 4.
- The pickaxe has a powerful explosion ability, which lets you create strip-mines easily
- Banglum Chunks are recieved as a rare drop from Banglum Ore (0.2%) and Nether Banglum Ore (3%).
- Added Banglum TNT, which has the same explosive power as an End Crystal.
Aquarium has been buffed following the EnchantGiver replacement:
- All the natural enchantments have been increased by one level
- A new item, the Aquarium Pearl has been added as a rare drop from Aquarium
- This item can be used in order to craft a Trident from Prismarine Shards and a Heart of the Sea
Other changes:
Tweaked the White Aegis sword texture slightly.
Adjusted all hardness values of ores, and made ores harder to mine with the wrong tool (especially if you have efficiency).
Changed the Aegis blades to use their own material, so that they can be repaired with Palladium instead of Celestium.
Slightly buffed the attack speed of Orichalcum and Osmium tools.
Updated the armor item textures for Durasteel, Palladium, and regular Banglum.
Made Unobtainium slightly more common.

0.10.0 - Caves and Cliffs
This update contains the biggest changes in the history of Mythic Metals.
A lot has been removed from the mod, which includes:
- All of Aetherium
- All of Argonium
- All of Brass
- All of Discordium
- All of Electrum
- All of Etherite
- All of Truesilver, which has been replaced in favor of Palladium
- All of Tantalite
- All of Quicksilver
- All of Ur
- All of Zinc
- Copper Ingots/Blocks, which have been replaced by vanilla variants
- Tin equipment
- Starrite gear, which has been replaced in favor of Star Platinum
- Quadrillum armour
Even though this update removes ores I have written a datafixer which should replace all the missing ores with stones, making this version compatible with older worlds.
!!!This is experimental, so please make a backup before installing this update!!!
A lot of changes have been made:
- Added deepslate variants of Adamantite, Mythril, Orichalcum and Unobtainium.
- Added a tuff and smooth basalt variant of Orichalcum.
- Added a calcite variant of Kyber. Normal Kyber spawns rarely in the world, but it spawns in large veins in calcite (mainly from amethyst geodes).
- Added a blackstone variant of Stormyx.
- Nether ores now have their own custom feature for spawning in the overworld (portal remnants and mod compat).
- Added a calcite variant of Starrite. Starrite now spawns rarely anywhere in the world.
- Added an End Stone Ore of Starrite, which is the main source of Starrite.
- Added a deepslate variant of Prometheum, since it can now be found in Lush Caves.
- Tweaked Unobtainium spawn rates (it is now more common to find per-world, but will be VERY hard to find in caves).
- Ores heights have been tweaked, even respecting the max world height/bottom.
- The world-gen is mainly balanced around the Caves and Cliffs Datapack, fully utilizing the new height range from 320 to -64.
- For the optimal experience I recommend using it, or any other mod that changes the world height.
- Added some secrets
A lot of the artwork has been changed in the mod. Shoutouts to the artists who have worked on Mythic Metals:
- Matpac
- RGBeet
- Amoraire
- DH
- Tector
- Temreno
- Shiftless
- Pois1x
- Henchman
Codewise there has been a lot of internal changes. Re-naming of features, a new solution for configs, and new "sets" which function as bundles for registering items. A lot of balancing changes have been made, and considering the removal of old materials here are some of the new ones:
- Star Platinum is an alloy from Starrite, Platinum, and Carmot. It provides protection similar to Diamond, and is a component for Celestium.
- The armor set made from Star Platinum has the damage bonus from the Etherite set.
- Celestium is now an end-game metal, focusing on movement speed. It is crafted from Star Platinum, Kyber, and Unobtainium.
- Prometheum has recieved a re-design, and is now a high tier metal. It has recieved Discordiums effects.
- To compensate for the strengths of the hallowed ores (adamantite, mythril, orichalcum) they have been given some weaknesses.
There are a lot more minor changes as well, but for now I implore you to check them out for yourself.
0.9.11
Hotfix - Fixes a config loading issue with old Autoconfig and Cloth2
0.9.10
Note!
Unembedded Cloth Config from the mod, you now have to download it yourself.
Added dust support for Indrev and Mechanical Tech.
Unobtainium can now spawn exposed in caves and similar, making it easier to find.
SLightly buffed hoes and high-tier axes.
Major interal refactors of the code.
Added new hallowed and metallurgium armor models, as well as changing aetherium, adamantite, mythril and orichalcum ones.
Various re-colours and texture changes.
Added missing tags for gold and hallowed dusts.
0.9.9
Note!
Added two new libraries: Enchant Giver and Alloy Forgery. You will need to download Alloy Forgery in order to use Mythic Metals! Link: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/alloy-forgery
EnchantGiver adds innate enchantments to aquarium and prometheum. They can be overridden with higher enchantments, but they will not disappear even if a grindstone is used.
Alloy Forgery is a new mod that lets you build a multiblock alloy smelter. This smeltery replaces the old alloy system. Making alloys require lava and different tiers of smelters (currently only 2 tiers are in place, with nothing more planned).
A tutorial will be available on the upcoming Mythic Metals Wiki! Once it's ready a link will be available.
What's new?
Added new anvils! These can be made from a selection of the metals, and will not break!
Added new chains! These can be crafted from a selection of metals and nuggets.
Added a new material: Hallowed. Made from the hallowed ores (adamantite, mythril and orichalcum).
Unembedded PigLib. You will now have to install it manually, to prevent version issues.
Added BYG, Terrestria and Traverse support! You will now find biome specific ores such as Starrite in their biomes.
The ore generator has been changed internally so that it actually generates ores in their defined ranges. This means that worldgen has changed, and upgrading might cause funky chunk borders.
Squashed a couple of bugs related to Harvest Scythes and Charm.
Removed Lutetium, as it only served as a worse silver alternative.
Adjusted most of the textures, as well as adding some new models. Thank you to:
- DH(LordDeatHunter), for a lot of the re-colours, item models and animated textures.
- Temreno, for the new armour and tool models.
- Tector, for the new ore and ingot textures.
- Pois1x, for the new anvil model + texture.
- Henchman, for new low-tier textures (copper, tin, bronze, and ur).
Balancing changes:
- Quicksilver now has a higher mining level, higher dmg and speed, but less durability
- Carmot has recieved a major buff
- Quadrillum can now be smelted with a normal furnace
- Slightly buffed hallowed
- Made Kyber slightly easier to find
- Increased Ur spawn rate
- Buffed Banglum, Discordium, and Durasteel
- Nerfed Prometheum and Kyber
- Buffed Metallurgium tools & weapons
- Major Stormyx buff, made it slightly easier to find
- Slowsilver armor has been nerfed, as well as small tool nerf
- Made tin and vermiculite spawn higher up
- Celestium and Starrite have swapped mining speeds
What's next?
Next update is mostly cleaning up before the final major release of Mythic Metals. I want to focus making addons for the mod over adding a lot more content, since I believe Mythic Metals serves the scope of adding more ores.
Main focus will be getting even better textures for the rest of the items, ores and blocks. The first addon I wish to make is a decorations addon which would mean the chains will be moved to another mod eventually.
There will be a few more features added, but after then the mod will mainly be maintained. I will be adding support for other mods though, but in the form extra mods.
Thank you all for showing interest in this mod!
