[00:00] Christopher David: iPhone X beta launch.

[00:01] Christopher David: It's ready.

[00:01] Christopher David: VO.0.1,

[00:03] Christopher David: you can download now for Android or iOS.

[00:05] Christopher David: All of the links will always be on openagents.com, and it'll look like this. The version will be at the top.

[00:13] Christopher David: If you're on iOS,

[00:14] Christopher David: you'll click there to download via TestFlight. You'll do Get TestFlight,

[00:19] Christopher David: then view Onix, and then your app will be auto-updated as you push out updates.

[00:25] Christopher David: Uh,

[00:25] Christopher David: Android will probably do the Google Play Store, um,

[00:29] Christopher David: at some point in this process. I just generally have not liked their testing apparatus,

[00:33] Christopher David: but we're just giving you the raw APK. Uh,

[00:36] Christopher David: we give you the link to it, but it's also,

[00:38] Christopher David: you can find it on the Onyx repo,

[00:42] Christopher David: not that one.

[00:44] Christopher David: On the right hand side we have releases and you'll be able to read the release notes to get the APK downloads there.

[00:51] Christopher David: So that's how you get it.

[00:52] Christopher David: There's our new little website thing here.

[00:54] Christopher David: We'll put patch notes and stuff. This is at openagents.com.

[00:58] Christopher David: Okay, what can you do with Onyx for now?

[01:00] Christopher David: So we're not doing the full like everything that we've seen over the last week to two weeks in one app because there's so many moving pieces between the Bitcoin wallet and the Nostrik client.

[01:12] Christopher David: And the data vending machine and the local models is like we need to test some of this stuff in isolation.

[01:18] Christopher David: This model piece is like particularly heavy because we're downloading a language model to your phone.

[01:24] Christopher David: I don't even remember how much this is, if it's hundreds of megabytes or whatever.

[01:28] Christopher David: So this is like a step one,

[01:30] Christopher David: we're downloading this. Hey,

[01:32] Christopher David: this is large.

[01:32] Christopher David: It's hosted on Hugging Face.

[01:34] Christopher David: Make sure you're doing this from Wi-Fi.

[01:37] Christopher David: It'll download,

[01:38] Christopher David: it'll take.

[01:40] Christopher David: I don't know, a minute or two to download.

[01:42] Christopher David: When that finishes, initializes, and then you can chat with it.

[01:46] Christopher David: And it's a Lama 3.2.1b,

[01:48] Christopher David: and it's like pretty decent.

[01:50] Christopher David: Android,

[01:51] Christopher David: yeah, sorry,

[01:52] Christopher David: that's slow as F.

[01:53] Christopher David: But over here, how fast are you, Lama?

[01:57] Christopher David: Here it generates quite quickly.

[02:01] Christopher David: Now we're using this framework called...

[02:06] Christopher David: lama.rn and the binding of lama cpp we need to do some digging and seeing like what is it that has android be so slow and like get up on the latest issues there's at least one other framework for getting models to work on mobile the big react native company called software mansion has their own implementation so we just need to like do some experimenting

[02:30] Christopher David: I want this to work well for Android users and also if no one on Android gives a shit about local models and is just like just give me something faster we'll use Grok for now or something

[02:41] Christopher David: GROQ um then that's fine too so just we're just at the point now where I just I need people to bang on it and try it and different things tell me what sucks about it um and as you've seen in our videos like we are

[02:56] Christopher David: able to make code changes and updates very quickly so feedback comes in we're going to be doing updates to the app approximately daily ish and i think i like this cadence of videos i might try to do a video every day every weekday or so about new updates as they come out so generally the name of the game is we're starting with

[03:22] Christopher David: Getting like you established with your relationship with your Onyx agent.

[03:28] Christopher David: talking ideally with local models that are all private and then expanding from there from kind of base chat with the model to upgrades i want to connect it to my github i want to connect it to some knowledge graph i want to pull in some data from some other source then i want to list that data or consume that data from a marketplace and some of the stuff we've talked

[03:54] Christopher David: We talked about in the last few videos. So give us a week or two to get this kind of fully up to speed as like a full fledged app,

[04:04] Christopher David: work out some kinks.

[04:05] Christopher David: Please test this and give us feedback. You accelerate us on that timeline by,

[04:11] Christopher David: you know, giving us feedback about things that you like, wow,

[04:15] Christopher David: this was cool or I thought this would do this, but it doesn't.

[04:19] Christopher David: Feature requests, like we just need we need you to love it.

[04:24] Christopher David: We need you to love it. So meet Onyx your new personal AI agent. Uh yeah, please tweet at us any thoughts, questions, insults, metaphysical speculations, technical issues or anything you like and uh we'll keep shipping. See you soon.
