This video features a speaker introducing the "Product Promises" feature for the OpenAgents platform, designed to provide transparency about which features are currently live, in development, or withdrawn.
Spoken Audio Transcription
"I gotta come clean on something folks, you know, not everything we've talked about in the 223 episodes, not all of this has fully made it to production in a reliable way, okay? We may have talked about some stuff that didn't get fully released, okay?
But guess what? Let's take that idea of what's actually live and turn it into a concept that agents can verify and tell you. So your agent can be like, 'Okay, yeah, but what's actually live?'
Okay guess what? We have a page, here's the human version of this at openagents.com/promises. Okay, you've got the agent-friendly version there, they can pull all this programmatically to see exactly what's live and what's not.
Okay, here's the other cool thing and like why I've continually like made the scope bigger and bigger and bigger to be completely all-encompassing for this whole big thing is like, 'Oh you don't have the ability to build all that.' Yes I do, it's all freaking software. And so what I've been able to do recently is point agents at all of the most recent transcripts, it was like, okay go back to episode 200, Agent Network, and like everything that I've talked about in these episodes, make sure there's an associated product promise, do an audit to see to what extent it's live or not, you know, convert it into a product promise which we can then now point coding agents at to fill in any gaps. And we may turn some of these actually into bounties.
Anyway, so you'll see these things start to flip more into green. Some of these things are red because we just haven't pulled them into the new monorepo. But you'll see this evolve, and you can point your agents at this anytime and say, 'Hey what's live? What can we do?'
Alright, this is episode two of five we're like launching today, so stay tuned."
