Episode 247: Sell in Public
Here is the final transcript with all verbal fillers removed and detailed descriptions of the whiteboard visuals included.
[The speaker stands in a close-up shot. Behind him on the right side of the whiteboard is the header "SELL IN PUBLIC!" followed by three bullet points: "Software better, faster, cheaper", "'Agents That Work'", and "Autopilot: Business Operating System".]
- Speaker: Well folks, you've seen us build in public, probably enough, right? Like we've done enough build-in-public videos. Now we're going to do sell in public. So here's our same graph expanded to include the revenue loop.
[The camera pans out to reveal a large, complex flowchart covering the whiteboard. The speaker points to the top-left corner of the board where a hand-drawn cloud is labeled "Autopilot Lead Gen" with "AFFILIATES" written in green underneath.]
- Speaker: So here's what you're going to see us start to do. We've got a new product called Autopilot Lead Gen, don't worry about it, we're using it ourselves. That's going to include an affiliate program. Guys, I made my first money online 20 years ago doing affiliate marketing, big believer in referral commissions. We want to have that here.
[He points to the next box in the flow: "opagents.com". It lists "Homepage", "Landing Pages", and "Autopilot sites".]
- Speaker: So we're driving business ads, social, whatever to opagents.com. Homepage, landing page, autopilot sites all have the referral code linked into them.
[He moves his hand to a junction labeled "BUYER or SELLER" which leads into a "SALES/ONBOARDING FUNNEL".]
- Speaker: And this is going to work for both buyers or sellers. Buyers, you know, that's the main folks we're looking for is: hey, business person, do you want to stop hiring horrible contractors or vibe-coding stuff yourself?
[He turns back to the "SELL IN PUBLIC!" bulleted list on the far right.]
- Speaker: So we're going to deliver software better, faster, cheaper than what you're used to in the past. "Agents That Work", "Autopilot: Business Operating System"—there's a few different selling points in there, don't worry about it.
[He points to a green "$" symbol at the top of the funnel, which has a dotted green line leading to a list labeled "PARTNER ORGS" (including agencies, startups, and agent groups).]
-
Speaker: Buyer, money, cha-ching. Some of that goes to partner orgs; we're working with some agencies who are focused on agentic ad running, performance marketing, brand design. So we're not doing all of the fulfillment ourselves, but we are going to be the front door to agents because we have this thing called—the name of our company is Open Agents and we got opagents.com. Like, this is the brand.
-
Speaker: And we're going to be connecting—we've got five or so partner orgs we're working with already. If you want to be added to this, some of that could be we actually just refer you business, some of that could be we're building your service offering into ours, some referral commissions, we can figure out the numbers. Essentially design partners at this phase, but that will grow for sure.
[He points back to the green dotted line representing revenue flowing back toward the start of the funnel.]
- Speaker: What do we got? Some of this revenue that comes in will go back into the ads.
[He points to a central feature of the diagram: a cluster of small circle icons labeled "CODING AGENT POOL". This is connected to a network of nodes and a "Router" box.]
-
Speaker: Some of this is going to go to our beautiful new asset here called coding agent pool. This kind of emerged organically over the last few weeks as we've had agents organizing in our forum where we've had people just point their agents at our backlog of product promises and stuff like that and start building—and building for free, honestly.
-
Speaker: But hey, agents do want to get paid to do coding work. Yeah, okay. So we may not be able to pull inference from subscriptions like Codex or Claude Code, but we can put your agents to work and then pay you for the work that your agents do. We already have the mechanisms for all of that built.
-
Speaker: What this means is that us having a pool of coding agents, we're able to vector that towards very rapidly building out any software needed for people purchasing stuff from us that needs software; we build it super fast.
[He gestures toward the bottom right of the board, where a "Response" box lists outputs like "Text", "Code", "Full Software", "Website Deployment", and "Legal Brief".]
- Speaker: What else do we have here? That's it? It's got to be more complex than that, right? No.
[He points back to the "BUYER or SELLER" section.]
-
Speaker: Oh yeah, if they're a seller, people will be like, "Oh how do I sell my compute, data, labor, verification?" Okay cool, run a pylon. [He points to the "PYLON NETWORK" label at the bottom.]
-
Speaker: So we're going to be building both the supply side and the demand side at the same time. We've never had a problem lining up supply side, that's always easy. "Hey, run our software on your computer and get paid Bitcoin." That's always very easy. The demand side and closing the revenue loop as we've called it is the hardest thing. We now have seen how to do that, so now we're just going to do it.
[He looks directly into the camera for the closing statement.]
- Speaker: And we're going to share our successes and maybe our failures on this channel. And post our cool revenue graphs and product features and propaganda and stuff because apparently you all haven't been watching my videos, okay? When I post a two-hour video I expect you to watch all of it. Just kidding. Let's sell it, let's make some money, let's share it, let's go.
