Code of Conduct

Our Community

Chat2DB CLI is an open-source project for developers, DBAs, analysts, and agent tool builders. We want the community to be welcoming, respectful, and useful for people with different backgrounds, experience levels, languages, and workflows.

This Code of Conduct applies to Issues, Pull Requests, Discussions, community channels, and other public or private spaces connected to this project.

Expected Behavior

We ask community members to:

• Be respectful and considerate.
• Give and receive feedback constructively.
• Stay focused on the project and the topic being discussed.
• Make Issues and Pull Requests clear and actionable.
• Respect different experience levels and communication styles.
• Protect other people's privacy and confidential information.
• Be open to correction and help resolve disagreements professionally.

Unacceptable Behavior

The following behavior is not acceptable:

• Harassment, intimidation, threats, or personal attacks.
• Discriminatory or sexualized language, imagery, or attention.
• Trolling, insulting comments, or repeated disruption.
• Publishing another person's private information without permission.
• Sharing passwords, tokens, private data, or customer information.
• Any other behavior that maintainers reasonably consider inappropriate for the project community.

Reporting

Report conduct concerns privately to the maintainers through the official Chat2DB contact channel listed by the OtterMind organization. Do not open a public Issue containing personal or sensitive details.

When possible, include what happened, where it happened, who was involved, and relevant links or context. Maintainers will review reports as privately and carefully as possible.

Security vulnerabilities follow a separate private process described in SECURITY.md.

Enforcement

Maintainers may take proportionate action to keep the community healthy and productive. Actions may include clarifying expectations, editing or removing inappropriate content, asking someone to stop specific behavior, or temporarily or permanently limiting participation in project spaces.

Enforcement decisions are made by project maintainers based on context and impact.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies when participating in project spaces and when representing the project in public community interactions.
