psql "postgresql://user:pass@localhost:5432/db" -c "SELECT 1;"

# Check network connectivity
ping localhost
telnet localhost 5432

# Check if database is running
sudo systemctl status postgresql # Linux
brew services list | grep postgres # macOS

Solutions:

# Start database service
sudo systemctl start postgresql # Linux
brew services start postgresql # macOS

     https://api.github.com/user

# Generate new token at https://github.com/settings/tokens
# Required scopes: repo, read:user

# Update MCP configuration
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "github": {
      "env": {
        "GITHUB_PERSONAL_ACCESS_TOKEN": "your_new_token_here"
      }
    }
  }
}

๐Ÿ” Debugging Steps

General Debugging Process

  1. Identify the Problem

    # Get detailed error information
    python tools/setup.py --verbose 2>&1 | tee debug.log
    claude --debug

  2. Check Basic Requirements

    # Verify Python version
    python --version

    # Check dependencies
    pip check

    # Verify Claude Code
    claude --version

  3. Isolate the Issue

    # Test in clean environment
    mkdir test-debug
    cd test-debug
    python ../awesome-claude-code/tools/setup.py --non-interactive

  4. Collect Information

    # System information
    uname -a
    python -c "import platform; print(platform.platform())"

    # Environment variables
    env | grep -E "(PYTHON|CLAUDE|PATH)"

    # File permissions
    ls -la CLAUDE.md .claude/

  5. Test Solutions

    # Backup current configuration
    cp -r .claude .claude-backup

    # Try minimal configuration
    python tools/setup.py --preset minimal

    # Test individual components
    claude mcp test postgres
