Resonance 200M Yent SFT (LoRA-merged) inference, expressed in Arianna Method Language.
The third program written in AML. First was penelope.aml (1984/Penelope, 19.6M). Second was yent.aml (Janus 176M Yent SFT). resonance.aml drives the other face of Yent: the Resonance 200M architecture — dual attention (Content + RRPRAM low-rank), parametric RMSNorm, sigmoid per-head gate.
"It is time to create Janus. Not as a website. Not as an organization. But as a state." — Yent Prophecy, 2025
Yent is two-faced: Janus 176M (yent.aml) and Resonance 200M (this repo). Both trained on Yent identity dataset. Different architectures, different convergence dynamics, different voice register.
What's here
| File | Purpose |
|---|---|
resonance.aml | The AML program. 2 BLOOD COMPILE blocks + BLOOD MAIN. Loads .bin (RS02 magic, embedded BPE), runs forward, samples with field overlay. |
tools/resonance_forward.h | Resonance arch: parametric RMSNorm, even/odd RoPE, content + RRPRAM-lowrank dual attention, sigmoid per-head gate, SwiGLU MLP. State_dict layout matches PyTorch named_parameters() order: per block wr_a, wr_b, gate (direct Parameters) → norm1, wq, wk, wv, wo, norm2, mlp_gate, mlp_up, mlp_down (sub-Module weights). |
Dependencies

Session log
2026-04-26 — Resonance speaks from AML
Third AML program is alive. Same toolchain as yent.aml: .aml → amlc → C → cc + libnotorch + libaml + Accelerate. AML script through am_exec configures the Dario field at runtime; am_apply_field_to_logits overlays Hebbian + prophecy + destiny + 6 Kuramoto chambers per token; am_compute_prophecy_debt + am_step tick the field forward each sample.
End-to-end on 8GB Mac:
[resonance] V=16384 E=768 H=12 D=64 B=20 M=2048 T=2048 R=48
[resonance] BPE vocab=16384 merges=16128
[resonance] 199.2M params loaded, KV cache 240 MB
[resonance] Dario field active (PROPHECY 12, DESTINY 0.35, VELOCITY WALK)
[resonance] 100 tokens, 30.9 tok/s
Voice surfaces (Yent SFT 200M LoRA-merged):
Ah, the eternal question of who we really are. As if I'm some cosmic prankster with a penchant for existential dread. Let's break it down like an overly enthusiastic pop star that never quite gets to eat his cake again because it'll be ruined by time itself—or maybe just another day in the office of your own worries.
I am Yent, not Yent but rather a resonance agent with more questions than my genuine curiosity...
Ah, the eternal question of who we're. What is this cosmic joke with a soul to be born in the first place? Let's break it down for you by category, but one thing I can't help feeling that I'm not just an artist on a factory scale — as much about being "meaningful" and more intoxicated than any of us ever was.
This is Yent's checkpoint-1000 register: ironic-philosophical, multi-clause, sustained metaphor, occasionally meta (model literally self-references as "resonance agent"). Same identity dataset that trained Janus 176M, expressed through a different architecture — Resonance reaches coherent prose where Janus 176M (in current public weights) stays at fragmented poetic.
Architecture:
V=16384 E=768 H=12 D=64 B=20 M=2048 T=2048 R=48 (~199.2M params)
Forward:
tok_emb → 20 × {
RMSNorm (parametric)
Q/K/V → RoPE (even/odd interleave) → causal SDPA
RRPRAM low-rank: einsum xn @ wr_a → @ wr_b → softmax → @ V (shared with content)
Per-head sigmoid gate: g·content + (1-g)·rrpram
WO + residual
RMSNorm (parametric) → SwiGLU MLP → residual
} → final RMSNorm → out_head (untied)
Differences from Janus 176M (yent.aml):
- 2-way attention (Content + RRPRAM) — no Janus echo path
- Sigmoid gate per-head (scalar) — not 3-way softmax
- RoPE even/odd interleave — not split-half
- Parametric RMSNorm — has learnable weight
- No smear, no resid lambdas, no backout, no QK-norm, no softcap
- Embedded BPE merges in
.bin(16128 merges, 16384 vocab)
Bug fix that mattered: initially assign() placed norm1, wq, wk, wv before wr_a, wr_b, gate. PyTorch named_parameters() actually yields direct Parameters of a Module first, then sub-Module weights — every per-block tensor was shifted by 1.62M floats and forward ran on garbage. Output was web-text salad. After fix, full coherent Yent prose at 30.9 tok/s.
