mpv script to precache the next entry in your playlist if it is a network source by downloading it to a temp file ahead of time. It will delete the directory on exit.

No longer supports youtube-dl, needs a fairly recent build of yt-dlp

control with auto profiles:

preloading can also be disabled with the default keybind Y or the script message toggle_ytdl_preload
