1. License
This software is distributed under the GNU General Public License (GPL). You are free to use, modify, and distribute the source code under the terms of the GPL.
Exception: The WebSocket API implementation is proprietary and subject to the terms outlined in this document.
2. Scope of Restriction
The HTTP REST API and all other features are fully available under GPL terms.
The WebSocket API is a proprietary real-time communication channel provided exclusively by Saubeo Solutions. This distinction supports the commercial model that funds ongoing project development.
3. Authorized Access
Official Saubeo Solutions Service:
- The WebSocket API is exclusively available through Saubeo Solutions' hosted service for its native applications and the integrated web application.
Self-Hosted Deployments:
- Self-hosted instances can use the HTTP REST API without restriction.
- Access to the WebSocket API in self-hosted instances requires a prior written license agreement with Saubeo Solutions.
- Contact rdio-scanner@saubeo.solutions to inquire about licensing.
4. Authentication
Authorized clients (including self-hosted licensees) must:
- Use valid authentication credentials provided by Saubeo Solutions.
- Ensure secure handling of credentials. Sharing credentials with unauthorized parties is strictly prohibited.
5. Prohibited Use
You may not:
- Attempt to use the WebSocket API without explicit authorization (either through the official hosted service or a valid license agreement).
- Use the WebSocket API in commercial applications or services without a license agreement.
- Reverse-engineer, replicate, or redistribute the WebSocket API service.
- Bypass or disable WebSocket API restrictions through code modification.
6. HTTP REST API
The HTTP REST API provided by Rdio Scanner is not restricted and fully available under GPL terms for all uses, including self-hosted deployments and third-party applications.
7. Enforcement
Violation of these terms may result in:
- Immediate revocation of WebSocket API access.
- Termination of any license agreement.
- Legal action for unauthorized use.
