MCP Configuration Examples

This document provides examples of how to configure the Cycloid MCP Server for different environments.

Development Environment (Python Virtual Environment)

For development, use the Python virtual environment with uv:

uv run python server.py --host 127.0.0.1 --port 8010

And then configure your local MCP server

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "Cycloid HTTP MCP Server (Dev)": {
      "url": "http://127.0.0.1:8010/mcp/",
      "headers": {
        "X-CY-API-KEY": "your-organization",
        "X-CY-ORG": "your-api-key-here",
      }
    }
  }
}

HTTP Transport

The HTTP transport allows you to run the MCP server as a web service, with organization and API key provided via HTTP headers for each request.

For production with HTTP transport:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "Cycloid HTTP MCP Server (Prod)": {
      "url": "https://mcp.cycloid.io/mcp/",
      "headers": {
        "X-CY-API-KEY": "your-organization",
        "X-CY-ORG": "your-api-key-here",
      }
    }
  }
}
