Contributor License Agreement

Thank you for your interest in contributing to Zentty.

This Contributor License Agreement ("Agreement") describes the rights granted by each contributor to Zenjoy BV ("Zenjoy", "we", "us") for code, documentation, and other materials submitted to the project.

1. Definitions

"You" means the individual who submits a Contribution.

"Contribution" means any original work of authorship, including code, documentation, design assets, configuration, or other material, that You intentionally submit to Zentty for inclusion in the project.

"Submit" or "submitted" means any form of communication to the project or its maintainers, including pull requests, patches, issue comments containing code, or direct communication made for the purpose of improving Zentty.

You grant Zenjoy BV a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to use, reproduce, modify, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, distribute, and relicense Your Contributions as part of Zentty or any related works.

3. Patent License

You grant Zenjoy BV and recipients of software distributed by Zenjoy BV a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer Your Contributions, to the extent that You can grant such rights.

4. Originality and Authority

You represent that:

  • each Contribution is Your original creation, or You otherwise have sufficient rights to submit it under this Agreement;
  • You are legally entitled to grant the licenses above; and
  • if Your employer or another party has rights in the Contribution, You have received permission to submit it under this Agreement.

5. No Obligation to Use Contributions

Zenjoy BV is not required to use, distribute, or accept any Contribution.

6. No Warranty

You provide Contributions on an "AS IS" basis, without warranties or conditions of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of title, non-infringement, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

7. How to Agree

Before we merge a non-trivial Contribution, include the following statement in your pull request description or in a pull request comment:

I have read CLA.md and agree to its terms.

By submitting that statement, You agree to this Agreement for Your Contributions to Zentty.
