Announcements

  • Thanks goes to Chris for staring the yearly "name that release" process:
  -

    \- Naming Mars+1 (2016 Eclipse Simultaneous Release)

    As Chris said in message to mailing list, **Neptune** was
    "winner", currently being vetted by EMO. (With 'Nova' being
    second choice, if issues with "Neptune".)
  • Luna SR1 fix proposed, to address JGit security issue. It has been proposed (), that we fix the "Simultaneous Release" repo, and SR1 packages that have JGit in them. See the thread on "committers list" for more information about the root problem.

Luna SR2

  • Any issues?
  • Reminder: SR2 RC1 (warm-up RC) is next week (starting 1/16 concluding 1/23).
  • Reminder: "signing certificate" will be changed (renewed) right after SR2. () (Not expected to have any effect on "Simultaneous Release", but might on some in eco-system, or perhaps some "testing systems").
  • Reminder: There is high risk that the "signing of Mac executable" will not be working for SR2. Perhaps not Mars? Any business impact?
\- Need to update "Mac signing service"

\- Change location of eclipse.ini (for Max OS X signing)

Mars Planning

  • Any issues?
  • Remember that "M5" is the "EclipseCon milestone".
  • Remember that Feb 13, 2015 is the CQ Submission deadline for Mars.
  • Improving categories in Simultaneous Release repo? See SimRel/Feature Categories -- Wayne? Have a proposal yet?

Progress on Action Items

  • Prune "callisto-dev" group soon .
  • Improve "aggregator examples/doc". (dw -- no progress).

New Business

  • Who is going to EclipseCon? Want to have (or volunteer to lead?) our traditional "Sunday 2 to 4" meeting?
  • It was suggested to have only the "joint meeting", and preferably "as late as feasible" (just so more could attend the meeting, without aggressive travel plans.) Perhaps 5ish on Sunday? 7 or 8? (if no other events/activities).

  • February 4, 2015 - Regular First Wednesday Meeting.
