โจ Why GhostGMS?
GhostGMS is a Magisk module that optimizes Google Mobile Services (GMS) for:
- ๐ Better battery life
- ๐ More privacy
- โก Smoother performance
- ๐ฑ Stable daily usability
GhostGMS focuses on safe optimization. The goal is to reduce unnecessary GMS behavior without breaking core Android functionality.
๐งฉ Module Options
| Module | Best For | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| GhostGMS Core (v3.1.3) | Most users | Maximum compatibility, safer defaults |
| GhostGMS Legacy (v1.3.1) | Advanced users | Includes older/deeper tweaks, test carefully |
๐ Highlights (v3.1+)
- โ Full uninstall restoration for settings, properties, and services
- โ Better reversibility (returns closer to pre-install state)
- โ
Improved uninstall logging (
/data/local/tmp/ghostgms_uninstall.log) - โ Core + Legacy lines both maintained

โ๏ธ Installation
- Download from Releases
- Flash in Magisk
- Pick Core or Legacy module
- Select optimization presets/options
- Reboot and let the system settle
๐ Battery Behavior After Install
You might see temporary drain for 24โ48 hours while Android re-calibrates background behavior.
That is expected; battery results usually improve after the settling phase.
๐ซ What It Does Not Do
- โ Core module does not apply kernel-level modifications
- โ Does not remove Google apps outright
- โ Does not intentionally break OTA flow
- โ Does not disable all Google functionality blindly
๐ถ Compatibility
| Android | Status |
|---|---|
| Android 16 โ 10 | โ Compatible |
| Android 9 / 8.x | โ ๏ธ Limited testing |
๐ง Quick Tips
- Keep only the tweaks you really need
- Give it 2โ3 days before judging battery impact
- Check module logs for troubleshooting
- If unsure, start with Core first
โ Troubleshooting
Google Play Services warning appears in some apps
If notifications, Play Store installs/updates, account sync, and app sign-in are working normally, this warning is usually safe to ignore.Push notifications feel delayed
Re-enable Sync-related options if real-time notifications are important for your usage.Battery got worse right after install
Wait through the 24โ48 hour adaptation period before making conclusions.๐จโ๐ป Credits
