The Spell4Wiki app is a free, open-source app developed by Free Software Activists and volunteers of the Wikimedia community to allow users to upload audio(.ogg format) to Wikimedia Commons. This Application powered by Kaniyam and VGLUG.

This Policy is used to inform users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information. If you choose to use the Spell4Wiki app, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation with this policy. The crash information that we collect are used for improving the Application. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy, and we do not rent or sell your information to third parties.

Information Collection and Use

The app doesn’t collect your personal data. Anyway, some data are saved on your device (user_name of Wikimedia Commons(If logged in), selected language, selected license, and others data). Also we use android Account Manager for manage Wikimedia user login. You can clear them just Clear data of the app (but they are necessary to use Spell4Wiki App). Aside from that, the information that we request is retained on your device and is not collected by us in any way.

While using our Application, we may require you to provide us record audio and read text documents stored on your phone. Audio that you upload to Wikimedia Commons via our Application will be publicly viewable on Wikimedia Commons along with your username.

The app does use third party services that may collect information used to identify you.

Log Data

We want to inform you that whenever you use our Application, in case of an error/crash in the app we collect data and information on your phone. This Log Data may include information such as your devices’s name, model, operating system version, app version, timezone, the time and date of your use of the Application, and other statistics.

This data will be share through email. So, You will see the confirmation dialog to send. Whenever opening the app after crash happened. Also, You'll see exactly what is sent, the system is 100% transparent.

Cookies

Cookies are files with small amount of data that is commonly used an anonymous unique identifier. These are sent to your browser from the website that you visit and are stored on your devices’s internal memory. This Application does not uses these “cookies” explicitly. However, the app may use third party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collection information and to improve their services. If you choose to refuse cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this Application.
