Preview Markdown. Preserve the complex parts. Export finished documents.

docu.md Markdown Viewer opens Markdown files as polished reading pages and turns them into output you can share, submit, publish, or archive. It keeps the source file simple while preserving the parts that usually break during handoff: tables, images, code blocks, math, diagrams, themes, and document spacing.

What This Documentation Covers

This documentation explains how to install docu.md, open Markdown files, configure platform-specific settings, choose document themes, and export finished documents.

Use it when you need to understand:

  • How each platform version works.
  • Which setup steps are needed for local files or editor integrations.

Core Workflows

AI Draft to Shareable Document

Save Markdown from an AI assistant, open it with docu.md, review the formatted result, choose a theme, and export a document that is easier to send to colleagues, clients, classmates, or reviewers.

Technical Notes to Documentation

Keep architecture notes, project READMEs, API drafts, and visual blocks in Markdown. Preview them with formatted code and rendered content before sharing.

Reports and Research Drafts

Use Markdown for writing speed, then export documents with tables, formulas, headings, and document themes preserved for review or submission.

Main Capabilities

  • Clean Markdown reading view for local files and supported web URLs.
  • Document export to DOCX, PDF, or self-contained HTML where supported.
  • Editable formulas in Word output.
  • Rendered diagrams and charts from source blocks.
  • Syntax highlighting, GitHub-style tables, task lists, images, SVG content, and complex HTML tables.
  • Support for common text-based diagram and chart formats including PlantUML, Mermaid, Vega/Vega-Lite, drawio, Canvas, Infographic, and Graphviz.
  • Themes for business, academic, technical, reading, and Chinese typography needs.
  • Smart rendering and caching for large documents.
  • Local processing for normal preview and export workflows.

Privacy

docu.md is designed around local processing. Normal preview and export workflows do not require uploading your Markdown files to a remote rendering service.

Read the Privacy Policy for details.

Marketplace Copy

Marketplace descriptions are maintained separately from README files so store metadata does not accidentally inherit long feature lists or outdated copy. See Marketplace Copy Source for the source directory and rules.
