A simple starter kit that integrates AI capabilities with Gaia and Next.js, providing an easy foundation for building AI-powered applications.

Next.js Project Setup

  1. Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/meowyx/gaia-agent-starter
cd gaia-agent-starter
  1. Install dependencies:
pnpm install
  1. Run the development server:
 pnpm dev
  1. Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.

Environment Setup

This project requires Gaia API credentials to function properly. Create a .env.local file based on the .env.example:

NEXT_PUBLIC_GAIA_API_BASE_URL=
NEXT_PUBLIC_GAIA_API_KEY=

Getting Your API Key

  1. Visit gaianet.ai and click on Launch App
  2. Connect your Metamask wallet by clicking CONNECT
  3. Access your profile settings by clicking on the profile dropdown and selecting Setting
  4. Navigate to Gaia API Keys and click Create API Key
  5. Name your API key and click Create

Choosing an API Base URL

You can find available public Gaia nodes here..

Project Structure

The project uses Next.js App Router. You can start editing the page by modifying app/page.tsx. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.
