Data notice

This repository contains original scripts and documentation for reconstructing selected local working files from the NIST Chemistry WebBook / SRD 69. The cleaned public repository does not redistribute extracted WebBook-derived data files.

Software and documentation

Original scripts and repository documentation are distributed under the MIT License, as described in LICENSE.md.

Generated local files

Files generated by the scripts may be derived from:

• the NIST Chemistry WebBook / SRD 69;
• NIST Standard Reference Data;
• source-literature-origin collections exposed through WebBook records;
• third-party collections or references cited by WebBook pages or downloaded files.

Such generated files are not covered by the repository MIT license. This repository does not grant permission to redistribute, publish, mirror, sublicense, or commercially reuse generated WebBook-derived data files.

User responsibility

The scripts are provided for local reproducibility and source tracking. Users are responsible for reviewing and complying with applicable NIST Chemistry WebBook / SRD 69 terms, source-collection terms, institutional policies, and legal requirements.

Repository policy

The public repository should contain only:

• original scripts and documentation;
• data-scope notes and local reconstruction documentation;
• small non-substantive examples or fixtures if needed for tests;
• placeholder files explaining where generated local data would be written.

The public repository should not contain complete extracted WebBook-derived data archives or processed derivatives of those archives.
