This document outlines the development roadmap for BanglaCode. It represents our current plans and priorities, which may evolve based on community feedback and contributions.

Vision

Make programming accessible to every Bengali speaker worldwide, providing a first-class development experience in their native language while preparing them for professional programming careers.


Current Status: v3.3.0

BanglaCode is a fully functional programming language with:

  • Core language features (variables, control flow, functions, classes)
  • Module system with import/export
  • Error handling (try/catch/finally)
  • HTTP server capabilities
  • JSON support
  • 40+ built-in functions
  • VSCode extension
  • Documentation website
