There are several branches that you might be interested in depending upon what version of Rails and elFinder you wish to run.

Rails elFinder Example Application

Rails is a web-application framework that includes everything needed to create database-backed web applications according to the Model-View-Control pattern.

elFinder is an open-source file manager for web, written in JavaScript using jQuery UI. As you can see its creation is inspired by simplicity and convenience of Finder program used in Mac OS X operating system.

This is a demo application that shows how to integrate the two using the 'el_finder' ruby gem.
