Enterprise offerings

The packages in this repository are Scramjet's open core — the MIT-licensed building blocks that anyone can use, modify, and deploy. Enterprise solutions offered by Scramjet are layered on top of this foundation and are not represented as capabilities delivered by this repository alone.

What the open core provides

The open-core Transform Hub platform provides:

  • Hub — single-host Sequence runtime.
  • Manager — control plane that coordinates multiple Hubs (see Manager overview).
  • MultiManager — process-level lifecycle coordination for multiple Manager processes. MultiManager alone does not provide HA, failover, persistence, or automatic redirection; those behaviors require separate verified deployment configuration.
  • Adapters — Process, Docker, and Kubernetes adapters for running Sequences in different environments.
  • CLI and API clients — si command-line tool and v1/v2 API client packages.
  • Runner runtimes — Node.js, Python, and Bun Sequence execution environments.

Enterprise capabilities

Scramjet's commercial enterprise offerings extend the open core with production-grade capabilities for security, scale, and multi-tenant operation:

Access control

  • RBAC — role-based access control for users, Sequences, and infrastructure resources.
  • Token authorization — scoped API tokens for service-to-service and user-to-system authentication.

Large-scale orchestration

  • MultiManager at scale — coordinated Manager processes across host boundaries and Kubernetes namespaces, and Scramjet enterprise offerings have been tested across more than 1,500 deployments on three small servers, with Kubernetes and VM/host isolation, multi-region awareness, and hardened lifecycle management.
  • Fleet-wide observability — aggregated metrics, centralized logging, and structured health reporting across all Hubs and Managers.

Multi-user and multi-organization operation

  • Organization hierarchies — isolate workloads, users, and infrastructure by organization, team, or project.
  • Resource quotas — per-organization and per-user limits on Sequences, instances, and infrastructure usage.
  • Audit trails — immutable logs of all management-plane operations.

Unified cloud-like experience

  • Multi-Hub, multi-Manager, multi-environment — a single control surface that spans development, staging, and production environments across on-premises, cloud, and edge locations.
  • Centralized deployment pipelines — push Sequences once, deploy to any connected environment with environment-specific configuration.
  • Cross-environment topic routing — connect Sequences running in different Hubs, Managers, or deployment locations through the enterprise control plane.

Target audiences

These enterprise capabilities are designed for:

  • Hosting providers — offering Transform Hub as a managed data-processing service to customers.
  • AI service providers — running inference pipelines, model-serving Sequences, and data pre/post-processing at scale.
  • Distributed IoT — managing thousands of edge-hosted Sequences across geographically dispersed devices.
  • Multi-cloud operators — deploying and orchestrating Sequences across AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-premises infrastructure from a single control plane.
  • Security-focused multi-point IoT — deployments requiring Kubernetes/VM isolation, RBAC, and token authorization.
