Contributing to Sveltia CMS

Bug reports

Since Sveltia CMS is still its early stages, we expect various problems. Please report any bugs to us so we can make the product better for everyone.

We usually fix bugs within 12 hours of them being reported, but it can take longer if the issue is complex or we’re really busy. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Feature requests

You can also request new features, but we may not be able to respond due to heavy workload and limited resources. Keep in mind that even though there are only a handful of issues in our repository, our main focus is on Netlify/Decap CMS issues, which means we have tons of things to do.

Pull requests

Due to limited review resources and ongoing technical upgrades across the codebase, pull requests will not be accepted for the time being, except for localization and trivial changes, such as fixing typos or style issues. Please file issues instead. We plan to reevaluate the UI framework, currently Svelte, and create contributor documents after the 2.0 release.

We will block anyone who sends AI-generated poor-quality PRs. Please don’t waste your time or ours by doing so.

Localizations

We’re now looking for volunteers to help us translate Sveltia CMS into different languages. If you’re interested in helping, please check out our localization guide.

Discussions

Sometimes developers and users ask questions in our discussion forum. If you know the answer, feel free to participate by leaving a comment.
