GameNative is an unofficial client application that lets you access your libraries from supported PC game stores and play your owned games on your device.
Data Collection and Usage
Local Storage Only Sensitive data — including your login credentials and session information for the game stores you sign into (such as Steam, Epic Games, GOG, and Amazon) — is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store this personal information on our own servers.
Game Store Integrations When you sign into a supported store (Steam, Epic Games, GOG, or Amazon), your device communicates directly with that store's servers to authenticate your account and access your game library. Any data those stores collect, store, or process is governed by their own privacy policies and terms of service.
Anonymous Usage Metadata GameNative collects limited, non-personal technical metadata to improve compatibility and performance. This may include:
- Game launch and close events
- Selected configuration settings
- Hardware category information such as GPU family or driver type
- Performance indicators such as FPS ranges or crash flags
This data:
- Does not include your name, email, store credentials, IP address, or any direct identifiers
- Cannot be used to identify you personally
- Is used only to improve game compatibility, recommend working settings, and prioritize development fixes
GameNative does not build user profiles, track browsing activity, or sell data to third parties.
Game Recommendations
GameNative can suggest games you might like from GOG.com, based on the games you already play. We do not send any of your game or account information to GOG unless you explicitly opt in by accepting an in-app consent prompt. Until you consent, nothing about the games you play is shared with GOG. You can turn the feature off again at any time in Settings → Interface → Show game recommendations.
Once you have opted in:
- The app looks at which games you play most and most recently on your device, and shares the corresponding game identifiers with GOG's recommendation service to generate suggestions.
- If you are signed into GOG, your GOG account identifier is included, so recommendations can be tailored and games you already own can be excluded.
- These identifiers are sent directly to GOG's recommendation, catalog, and games-database services. GOG's handling of them is governed by GOG's own privacy policy.
Recommended games link to GOG's store through an affiliate program (Commission Junction). If you follow one of these links, the affiliate network may record the click for attribution, and GameNative may earn a commission on any resulting purchase. This does not change the price you pay.
Turning recommendations off stops all of the above: no game or account information is sent to GOG for recommendations, and the recommendations section is hidden.
Third-Party Services
GameNative functions as an interface to the game stores you choose to use (Steam, Epic Games, GOG, and Amazon). We have no control over or responsibility for how those platforms collect, use, or store your information. Please refer to each platform's privacy policy to understand how they handle your data.
Meta Horizon (Quest) Store Version
This section applies only to the version of GameNative distributed through the Meta Horizon Store. The free, open-source build distributed via GitHub does not collect or use any of the data described in this section.
On the Meta Horizon Store version, the app reads your Meta account ID and your subscription/entitlement status in order to confirm your access and unlock the app on that platform. This information is used only for that verification. It is processed on your device and through Meta's In-App Purchases platform, and Meta's handling of it is governed by Meta's privacy policy. We do not store it on our own servers, and we do not share or sell it.
Data Security
Your login credentials and session data are stored securely on your device using your platform's standard security protocols. This data is only used to facilitate communication between your device and the game stores' servers.
Your Rights and Data Deletion
You can clear all locally stored data at any time by:
- Logging out of the app
- Clearing app data through your device settings
- Uninstalling the application
We do not retain your personal information on our own servers. If you believe we hold any data associated with you — for example, support correspondence — you can request its deletion by emailing support[at]gamenative[dot]app, and we will action verified requests.
Changes to Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update this privacy policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated policy.

Age Requirements
Users must be at least 13 years old to use GameNative, in accordance with the supported stores' own age requirements.
