Privacy

This document describes the currently confirmed behavior of the hosted public-beta service. It is not a promise of anonymity.

Data processed for a request

The service processes the requested URL, requested output format, source IP address, timestamps, request outcome, HTTP result metadata, response size, duration, and selected route metadata needed to operate and monitor the service.

Requested URLs and page content

Requested URLs are logged. Returned page bodies are not stored in the request record by the current service implementation.

Retention

Request records are currently retained indefinitely. This may change when a published retention policy is adopted.

Anonymous quotas

No account or API key is required. Quotas and concurrent-request limits are calculated from the source IP address supplied to the service. When traffic passes through the public edge, the client IP forwarded by that edge is used for this purpose.

Third parties

Cloudflare provides the public edge for the hosted endpoint. Page fetches are sent through a rotating upstream proxy pool. Those providers may process network data as part of delivering their services.
