What Lemon Is
Lemon is a self-hosted AI assistant platform for developers and technical operators. It combines a supervised BEAM runtime, coding-agent tools, memory, skills, provider abstraction, channel adapters, and a JSON-RPC control plane into one local-first system.
The 1.0 launch goal is mainstream readiness: installability, supportability, clear docs, stable packaging, credible Hermes-class harness behavior, and enough interface polish for non-contributors to use Lemon without repo expertise.

Current Launch Stage
Lemon is still pre-1.0. The source install path, release profiles, product smoke, doctor support bundle, and launch ledger are actively being hardened. Public binary release support, the final support matrix, the polished website, and some UI supportability checks remain in progress.
