License

Oliver Lindemann lindemann@cognitive-psychology.eu

Installation

PyforeceDAQ depends on Python 3.12 or 3.13 (and is currently not compatible with later versions).

It is suggested to use a virtual environment with Python 3.13. The easiest way to do this to use UV. To install UV see https://docs.astral.sh/uv/getting-started/installation/

Install pyForceDAQ via UV: uv tool install pyforcedaq --python 3.13 -U

  • Under Windows: A complied version of atidaq.dll can be found in the dll subfolder of the Branch 'additional materials. Make this library available by coping it in your ystem folder

To install pyForceDAQ from release-zipfile

  1. Ensure that Python 3.13 is installed
  2. Download and unpack zipfile file
  3. run install_dependencies.py
  4. run forceDAQ_GUI.py
  5. edit settings via GUI if required
