SaneClick is built to keep your files, scripts, and automations on your Mac. This page explains what stays local, when the app uses the network, and why.

Summary

Your files and script contents stay on your Mac. SaneClick does not upload them to SaneApps servers.

The app may send privacy-preserving aggregate counts, such as whether it opened in Free or Pro, whether an upgrade button was clicked, whether a license was activated, app version, build, and update status. Those counts help us run the business and improve the app. They do not include your files or script contents.

What SaneClick Does Not Collect

  • Your files or script contents on SaneApps servers
  • Personal files from your Mac
  • Crash reports
  • Your passwords
  • Names, email addresses, license keys, advertising identifiers, or cross-site tracking identifiers for analytics
  • Data for sale to advertisers or data brokers

What Stays Local

SaneClick stores the following locally on your Mac:

  • Scripts and files in the folders you choose
  • Preferences in standard macOS defaults
  • App configuration in local application support files

When SaneClick Uses The Network

SaneClick uses the network only when:

  • It checks for app updates, if update checks are enabled
  • It sends privacy-preserving aggregate app counts, such as Free vs Pro launches, upgrade flow, license activation, app version, build, and update status

Your files and script contents are not sent to SaneApps.

  • Finder Sync Extension for Finder integration
  • Application Support for local configuration

System Services

  • Finder Extension for right-click integration inside Finder

Third-Party Services

SaneClick uses:

  • Sparkle for update checks
  • SaneApps distribution service for privacy-preserving aggregate app counts
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics on public website pages for cookie-free aggregate traffic stats, such as page views and referrers

These website services apply to saneclick.com pages, not to your files or scripts inside the app.

Your Control

You can:

  • View local settings and scripts
  • Turn off update checks
  • Uninstall the app and remove its local data
