Research & Collaboration

- โ Respect the async execution model and long-running research processes
- โ Contribute to the knowledge base with patterns, anti-patterns, and validated assumptions
Professional Conduct

- โ Respect the production-grade nature of the project and its users
- โ Consider the security and compliance implications of contributions
- โ Acknowledge that this tool is used in critical enterprise environments

Confidentiality

Community leaders follow these Community Impact Guidelines:
1. ๐ Correction
Community Impact: Minor violation (inappropriate language, unprofessional behavior)
Consequence:
- Private written warning
- Clarification of why the behavior was inappropriate
- Public apology may be requested
Example: Using inappropriate language in a GitHub comment
2. โ ๏ธ Warning
Community Impact: Single incident or series of violations
Consequence:
- Warning with consequences for continued behavior
- No interaction with people involved for specified period
- Includes avoiding community spaces and external channels
- Violating terms may lead to temporary or permanent ban
Example: Repeated trolling or disruptive comments
3. ๐ซ Temporary Ban
Community Impact: Serious violation of community standards
Consequence:
- Temporary ban from all interaction (specified period)
- No public or private interaction with people involved
- No interaction with those enforcing Code of Conduct
- Violating terms may lead to permanent ban
Example: Sustained inappropriate behavior, harassment
Duration: 7 days to 90 days (based on severity)
4. ๐ด Permanent Ban
Community Impact: Pattern of violations, sustained harassment, aggression toward classes of individuals
Consequence:
- Permanent ban from all public interaction
- Removal of all contributions (at maintainers' discretion)
- No path to reinstatement
Example: Sexual harassment, threats, malicious code injection
๐ Scope
This Code of Conduct applies in all community spaces, including:
Online Spaces
- โ GitHub repositories (code, issues, PRs, discussions)
- โ Community forums and chat channels
- โ Official communication platforms (Discord, Slack, etc.)
- โ Social media when representing the project
In-Person Spaces
- โ Official project events (conferences, meetups)
- โ Hackathons and workshops
- โ Any event where you officially represent orchestr8
Representing the Project
This Code of Conduct also applies when you are officially representing the community:
- Speaking at conferences about orchestr8
- Managing official social media accounts
- Acting as a designated representative
- Wearing orchestr8 branded materials at professional events
๐๏ธ Enforcement Responsibilities
Community leaders are responsible for:
- โ Clarifying and enforcing standards of acceptable behavior
- โ Taking appropriate and fair corrective action
- โ Removing, editing, or rejecting contributions that violate this Code
- โ Communicating reasons for moderation decisions
- โ Maintaining confidentiality of reporters
Rights of community leaders:
- Edit or remove comments, commits, code, issues that violate standards
- Ban temporarily or permanently for inappropriate behavior
- Escalate serious violations to GitHub or law enforcement
