A PowerToys Run plugin that brings disk usage analysis directly into your launcher. Instantly explore drive and folder sizes without leaving your keyboard.
Features
- List all drives with used / free / total space
- Browse any folder and see children ranked by size
- Recursively find the largest files and folders inside any path
- Accurate sizes for cloud folders (iCloud, OneDrive)
- Keyboard-first: clicking a result keeps the
dsprefix so you can keep drilling down
Requirements
- Microsoft PowerToys v0.97.0 or later
- Windows 10 / 11 (x64 or ARM64)
Installation
- Download the zip for your architecture from Releases
- Close PowerToys
- Extract the zip into
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\PowerToys\PowerToys Run\Plugins\DiskAnalyzer\ - Restart PowerToys
- Open PowerToys Run with
Alt+Spaceand typedsto get started
Usage
Open PowerToys Run (Alt+Space) and type ds followed by a command.
Commands

ds | Show help and all available commands |
ds drives | List all drives with used / free / total space and a usage bar |
ds C:\ | Scan a folder — shows subfolders and files sorted by size |
ds C:\Users\Photos | Drill into any subfolder |
ds largest C:\ | Find the largest files recursively inside a path |
ds top C:\ | Show top-level subfolders ranked by total size |
Context Menu (right-click any result)

Tips
- Clicking a folder result automatically prefills
ds <path>so you can keep drilling down without retyping - Paths with spaces are supported — wrap them in quotes:
ds "C:\My Folder" - Results are cached for 10 seconds to avoid redundant re-scans
Settings
Configure in PowerToys Settings → PowerToys Run → DiskAnalyzer.

| Include hidden files | Off | Include items with the Hidden attribute |

Requires .NET 9 SDK.
